Pergolas

the story of BEST NEIGHBOR AWARD:

Given the close proximity of the neighbor’s backyard on this project, we had a lot of interaction with some really awesome people. From letting us use their property for product delivery to offering us a a swim in their pool to cool down, they brightened our days.

the renovation:

21 x 11 composite deck with wooden privacy wall (Deckorators’ Voyage Mesa); 35 x 11 pergola with polycarbonate roof

the story of FOUR EYES:

We had the pleasure of installing a Cover Your Pergola polycarbonate roof on this existing pergola, which was the perfect addiiton to an already stunning backyard. Unfortunately, we misplaced a pair of prescription glasses on this jobsite and we’ll always wonder where they ended up.

the renovation:

30’ x 12’ installation of polycarbonate roof

the story of APOLLO 18:

This Cover Your Pergola installation was with the Apollo system. The number 18 was used all throughout this project since we were working with an existing pergola that was 18’ x 18’. While we may not have been on the Apollo spaceship, the heat from working on top of this polycarbonate roof in the summer definitely made us feel a lot closer to the sun.

the renovation:

18’ x 18’ installation of polycarbonate roof

the story of DEAR OLD FRIEND:

This project was one of those “life comes full circle” moments. We had a chance to create a new entertainment space for a former high school mentor. Without his investment of time and creating opportunity in the past, we couldn’t have gotten to where we are today.

the renovation:

22’ x 12’ wooden deck with 16’ x 12’ pergola and installation of polycarbonate roof

the story of DURHAM BULLS HIT:

This was our first experience completing a project in Durham, and we can honestly say it was unforgettable. Some townships’ building departments make contractors' lives easier than others, but Durham wasn’t one those.

the renovation:

20’ x 12’ installation of polycarbonate roof

the story of LVL Up:

The custom 22’ LVL (engineered wood) is the showstopper piece on this new pergola. Because of the sturdiness and solidity that an LVL provides, our clients can rest assured that they can enjoy this pergola for a very long time.

the renovation:

21’ x 16’ pergola with aluminum roof

the story of BRONCO:

I think we were just as excited for this pergola build as our clients were! With a special client request to use massive 8 inch x 8 inch wooden posts, this was no easy feat. Add in the black hardware and the modern slat system and the result is this intimidatingly cool backyard space.

the renovation:

construction of modern wooden pergola with 8” x 8” posts;
Bronco 2.0: installation of a polycarbonate roof

the story of BUGGIN’:

This client got a recommendation to check us out from their pest control guy. It wasn’t too long after that we were able to transform their backyard space into a functional, shady area that can be enjoyed all year long.

the renovation:

16’ X 12’ pergola with aluminum roof

the story of PALMETTO:

Installing a cover on this pergola meant working on top of purlins nearly three stories in the air. We really tested our luck and reconsidered our life insurance policy on this one. But alas, it turned out to be an effective cover just in time for a summer thunderstorm to roll in.

the renovation:

covering the existing pergola with a 16’ x 24’ polycarbonate roof

the story of MOTHER OF SAHARA:

Let’s talk about heat. This client requested a deck with a roof to prevent the insane amount of sunshine that pours into the back of her house - so much so that it melted the siding! We were a little crazy to do this project in the July sun, but we’re happy to provide a space for this client where they can finally keep cool.
